When I finished reading the mastery
reading “Right Place, Wrong Face”, I was disgusted at the fact that the Harlem
police would do such a thing. It is not back in the 60’s not all blacks are
bad, but then not all are good. I get that part but stereotyping is a little
out dated now, it is the 21st century people can we at least get
some type of sympathy, and I am amazed at the fact that some people can be that
racist to, but that’s how people are brought up, just like how Coalhouse Walker
Jr. was brought up to think if he worked hard, was a good person, and would
always tell the truth, the world would be his “oyster”. Some things like that
are life changing like he said at the end “ life will never be the same” I agree
with him, because if something like that were to happen to me I probably would
look at people differently, and it would definitely be an “eye opener” to view the
world differently.
