Cyber Bully reflection
I think that cyber bullying is not that serious that you would have to take your own life over it. At my old school somebody made a fake page on facebook called "troy love" and started spilling secrets about people, and teachers on the web. After a couple of weeks that page became the next big thing in my school everybody was scared that their buisness was going to be put out. The page even ended some relationships, and friendships. Lucky for me I hated that school so I really did not talk to anybody there, I was in the clear. After another month of this page being up, the teachers finally got involed because parents start to talk about how their child does not want to go to school. The school finally found out who it was and expelled that person, that year changed peoples lives, and no one will ever forget that year. It is just how you handle it, if you think that you should take your life over something that was put on the web, then that just means your life is not that valuable.

"Right Place, Wrong Face" Reflection
When I finished reading the mastery
reading “Right Place, Wrong Face”, I was disgusted at the fact that the Harlem
police would do such a thing. It is not back in the 60’s not all blacks are
bad, but then not all are good. I get that part but stereotyping is a little
out dated now, it is the 21st century people can we at least get
some type of sympathy, and I am amazed at the fact that some people can be that
racist to, but that’s how people are brought up, just like how Coalhouse Walker
Jr. was brought up to think if he worked hard, was a good person, and would
always tell the truth, the world would be his “oyster”. Some things like that
are life changing like he said at the end “ life will never be the same” I agree
with him, because if something like that were to happen to me I probably would
look at people differently, and it would definitely be an “eye opener” to view the
world differently.

Chaper 8 response
Following the Authors Thought Patterns
As I read chapter 8 " Following the Authors Thought Patterns", I began to think about how this chapter would help benifit me in the rest of my colloge life. In the first paragraph of the chapter it gives you a excersise to look at some drawings, and see which one is the easiest to follow, and the hardest to follow. Then they compared it to an authors thought pattern, how how he/she writes. I thought that was helpful because i am a visual learner, i grasped the idea of the chapter pretty quickly. the chaper sums up the thought patern into six different catigories: (1) illistrate/example, (2) definition, (3) comparison/contrast, (4) cause/effect, (5)classification, and (6) chronological order/process. I did not know all of them before i started reading, but after i finished reading i understood it clearly. Illistration/example is the one everyone uses the most, because it is just key idea, then some examples to support it.

Chapter 3 reflection
what I wanted to know from chapter 3 Context clues, was how many different types of methods are there, are they used often, which one of them is the one that everyone uses the most, and what does it mean exactly. What I know about context clues already is that, i know that writers use them to help us the reader, with the complicated words. I know that it explains the words within the sentence or the sentence after that contains the word. What I learned from reading this chapter is that, there are 5 different types of context clues categories which are: Definition, Synonym, Example, Contrast, and Inference. After i read this chapter I understood properly what context clues was.

Stop Asking Me My Major, reflection
While I read "stop Asking Me My Major", i automatically started to think in the begginning when i was trying to decide my major. When i first started thinking about what i wanted to be I wanted to be a pediatrician, because I love kids and helping them would just have been another perk. As I grew up I started to like technology, I didnt know what it was about technology but it had stolen my heart. I had wanted to become a electrical engineer, and it was final no turning back from now. Everytime I saw how something was made and how it was built I felt something inside, and i knew that is something i could do for the rest of my life. My parents told me to do something I love.
